Dr. Natalie Brooks is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner licensed in Maryland and
Virginia with a specialization in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma disorders, and other mental health issues. Dr. Brooks has almost twenty years of experience in the field of mental health and has a background in applied behavioral analysis. She provides holistic, person-centered care aimed at improving her patient’s overall wellness. During her appointments, she uses psychotherapeutic techniques in conjunction with medication management. She is a firm believer in a collaborative approach and works with the existing care team of her patients.
Dr. Brooks completed George Mason University's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.
Her undergraduate work in psychology and nursing was completed at the University of Rhode
Island and Shenandoah University. Dr. Brooks has a second specialty in forensic nursing, and
her work in the field has been presented internationally. In addition to clinical practice, she
serves as an assistant professor for the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner programs at George Mason University.
