Lisa Ferazzoli, MA, PA-C, LPCA began her career in healthcare more than 20 years ago. During this time, she has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings, providing care to a diverse range of patients throughout New York City, Boston and Charleston, SC. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University, School of Health Sciences and is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. After spending several years practicing Internal Medicine, Lisa realized a strong passion for providing mental health care and was inspired to pursue additional education and training to enhance her ability to do so. Lisa holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology; Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. She completed her clinical training at Tuft’s Medical Center in Boston, MA. Ms. Ferazzoli has experience treating children, adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and ADHD. Additionally, Lisa has experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum. Lisa believes that her education and experience in medicine accompanied by her education and training in mental health counseling allows her to support patients from a more holistic and unique perspective. Together, with the patient, she enjoys creating a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan that will allow her patients to reach their goals in feeling healthier, stronger and improving their life overall.
Aside from her clinical work, Lisa is Vice President of the Autism News Network, an adult program based at the Medical University of South Carolina aiming to provide social and vocational skills to adults with autism. She also serves as an NYU Alumni Ambassador and has been a guest speaker for NYU’s graduate psychology programs on the subject of Psychopharmacology for Mental Health Providers to offer guidance to the next generation of mental health workers in an effort to promote the growth of mental health care in the U.S.
