Lauren Grawert, MD

Dr. Grawert is a double board-certified Addiction Psychiatrist who treats both adolescents and adults struggling with both substance use disorders and/or mood disorders. She has been practicing in the Northern Virginia Area for the past 8 years. She enjoys collaborating with patients in a warm, friendly, non-judgmental approach that recognizes the many unique challenges folks suffering with addiction and mental illness often face. She is a vocal, strong advocate of decreasing the stigma of mental illness and addiction while increasing access for treatment and help. 

Dr. Grawert attended Medical School, Psychiatry Residency, and Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She served on Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s statewide Advisory Task Force on Opioids and Addiction from 2018-2020.  She is a SAMHSA PCSS National Course Instructor and was selected as Northern Virginia “Top Doctor” in 2021. In her spare time, she likes to take her two young children to the park on nice weather days.
